| Preparing your Pro Tools sessions for mixing |

Please label your hard drives with the artist, what it is (multitrack, mixes, ect.), and anything else you think is helpful like sample rate, bit depth, and frame rate.
Please include your working or rough mixes for reference.
Please check all your edits. Keeping the tracks in a logical order can makes things run smoother and faster. For example, bass, drums, percussion, guitars, keyboards, strings etc. main vocal then Background vocals . Notes about the session are always helpful. Since I do not use the Pro Tools automation, please delete it. If you would like something muted, mute the region. Please make sure that your song plays correctly with automation off. If there is panning automation that is important (panning changes per section (I do this often) or pannng in rhythm), please leave a note in the comments column in the mix window of Pro Tools. If you do not have Pro Tools please export consolidated or merged .WAV files starting at the same point i.e. Bar 1 with notes in a "README.txt" telling us the sample rate, tempo, meter and any other information.
